Oberlin College is pleased to provide students with this financial aid calculator as a guide in planning for college. The calculator will estimate financial need and academic merit awards based on prior year data. Estimates are based on award policies for the 2016-2017 academic year and are subject to change.

  • Your estimate is meant to help you plan your educational financing at Oberlin College & Conservatory and is based on the information you provide in this calculator.
  • This calculator is intended for full-time, first-time domestic, regular-decision freshmen who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. It is not intended for use by graduate, transfer, readmitted, continuing, international or part-time students, who should instead contact the Financial Aid Office for more information. Conservatory and Double Degree students can use the Net Price Calculator to estimate their eligibility for need-based financial aid. However, no review for merit-based talent awards can be accommodated. Based on the results of your audition a Dean’s Talent Scholarship may be awarded in addition to OR in replacement of awards indicated on this Net Price Calculator.
  • The results provided here are only an estimate and do not guarantee the actual financial aid you will receive. The estimated award is subject to the accuracy of the information you provide, may change if financial or other family characteristics change, and does not incorporate any special circumstances, which are reviewed when you officially apply for aid. If the student's biological parents are divorced, separated, or never married, the student must also file a Non-Custodial Parent Statement. The results from the Non-Custodial Parent Statement may significantly alter your need-based grant eligibility. Please note: this Net Price Calculator DOES NOT take into consideration your Non-Custodial Parent contribution. This estimate shall not be binding on the Secretary of Education, Oberlin College & Conservatory, or the State of Ohio.
  • This calculator is not an official application for financial aid and is not a substitute for applying for financial aid. The student must complete both the College Board's CSS PROFILE and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine eligibility for federal student aid funds.
  • The Net Price Calculator cannot substitute for an actual review of your complete financial aid application. An estimate of aid or estimate of your net price from any college should not be the sole deciding factor in your college choice. We encourage you to apply for admission and financial aid if you are seriously considering Oberlin College & Conservatory to get the most accurate picture of your actual cost of attendance for 2016-2017.
  • We are pleased to be able to offer funding to our students. For our full-time students enrolling for college for the first time in 2016, approximately 80% received some form of gift aid.
